This past weekend, June 28-30 the Mid Michigan Electric Unlimiteds - MMEU Racing were host to the 2018 IMPBA Fast Electric Nationals. They had a great site at the Rochester, MI North Oakland Elks Club. The pond was perfect for racing on. Outside of the extreme temps, everything was running along smoothly. Being a dyed in the wool nitro guy I had to see what this was all about. I was impressed by how well the boats were setup, the speed of some of the classes and how well the guys were driving them. I am not going to get into electric boats!! However, I now have a better appreciation for this part of R/C boat racing. It was nice seeing IMPBA President Chris Rupley and National FE Director Mile Ball helping out at the event. Thanks to Doug Smock for introducing himself and offering me a chair in the shade.
