how important is it that the leading edge be 3-4" behind the transom. That plans for the wildting recommend the rudder be behind the prop and 3-4" LE to Transom. I am having trouble finding a rudder assembly that long for a 21. How important is that recommendation for the rudder to be that far back? I can get a rudder from speedmaster thats 2 1/8 back from the transom?

Does the rudder have to be behind the prop??

thanks

Chris

well i what i did was make a wood block to set my rudder back far enough i painted it to mathc then sealed it and placed in on the hull with 4 screws then took the normal screws to secure the rudder to the block works great
