IMHO Senna was incomparable.... then and now. Watched him race live for 3 years here in Phoenix and in many televised races and qualifying sessions. He was not always the most publicly presentable or F1 fashionable personality and was often controversial in his battles with rivals. In his time... in the times of qualifying motors and fuels, he was always the fastest mofo on the track, bar none. Even in the very marginal Williams he was driving at the end of his career......

in those days drivers were far more important then today.

He was a remarkable man/driver in more than one way......

2 others i would put in that catagory.. nigel mansil. and alex zanardi. mansil was a machine.. and zanardi.. anyone that loses his legs and is stubborn enough to get back into a race car.. i commend him

I was always a fan of Zanardi as well Chris- His determination and attitude through the entire rehab/return was inspirational.
