100 years ago today, a contraption built by a couple of bicycle repairmen left the Earth and travelled 42 feet under it's own power (well, kinda...).

Happy Anniversary Orville and Wilbur! Thanks for making it possible for me to play with RC planes! I know that's what you had in mind all along.
