Seriously though...what if the ride surface were reduced toward the rear? I'm still 'brain fried' trying to figure out how to slow the air down as it leaves the tunnel (per Mr Geraghty's train of thought).

Until you explained "hammer cut" sponsons I had no idea what you were asking. I now understand whay you're asking, I just have no idea what would happen. But, there' numerous guys out here in District 8 that would say, "So, what's new about JD having no idea what's happening?"

PJ, just build the Villian per the instructions .. hehehehe.. Almost think you would have a SAW instead of heat racer.. But that is only a wild guess. Reasoning would be a narrower riding pad instead of the wider one normally used for heat racing.
