Hi,
After Mike asked me about the twin front proprider in the other thread, I have to go back a bit.
A few years ago I built an Ed Fischer canard in balsa wood. I installed the drive motor in the front of the front sponson with a very short propeller shaft so that the propeller was placed only 1 inch behind the front float. The background to this was the search for a loping-resistant racing boat. When the prop works so far forward, the propulsion power is suddenly reduced when the boat lifts its nose . The propulsive thrust is then abruptly reduced and the boat lowers its nose. That worked very well. I discussed this with some in a forum and some sat down and built boats with the possible interpretations and drove them for testing. A few pictures of very nice ideas.

Happy Amps Christian

Wow, great ideas and out-of-the-box design. Really interesting and I will keep an eye on this thread.
