I have a 5 inch RPM motor mount. I need to loosen up the allen heads to take out the two shims to make it a 4 inch mount. However, when I loosen the allen head the rubber turns, if I go to far I'll break it. I'm not sure if this is a Dave Richardson mount or an Aeromarine mount. I guess they must have lock tight on them. Is there a chemical or heat that will free them up??

If you are careful, you can grab the metal insert at the base of the isolator through the rubber with vise grips. You can then loosen the screws. Heat (my standard screw loosening tool) probably will damage the rubber before the screw lets go.
