FE TUNNEL SERVO RECOMMENDATIONS

Hi everyone, I'm a real newbie at this hobby and looking for advice on what servo specifications I should consider putting in a "P" and "Q" spec tunnel boat.

Futaba S3305 in mine. No problems so far.

Tower Hobbies or Hobbico TS-170 or CS-170 (same servo just repacakged), tons of torque for $80 and titanium gears. 60 mph boats need the torque.

I just ran mine today with an HS645 and had no issues what so ever. P-Spec.

My son's P-Lim VS1 is prone to blow overs in the chop and we stripped a bunch of HS645MG gears two years ago. I went to the HS985MG before the start of last season. We ran two boats with them last year and so far so good. About $60 at Servo City.

OB tunnel = METAL GEARS. 100 oz of torque will work in a P spec. 180 or more for a Q. I always have used cheap plastic servo horns. Never had one break without a major blowover and like a fuse they ptotect the servo gears. I like 1/4 scale in larger hulls as they have physically larger geartrains.
