Just a few items for admin notes for the race this weekend:

1. Mapquest/GPS address (listed on the entry form on the top right) is 1673 Fern Hill Rd, John's Island, SC 29455. Bill Britton on the other (smacktalk) thread was kind enough to link the Google map link.

2. There is a 15 MAX speed limit on the gravel road coming into the lake. PLEASE observe it at all times. If you are kicking up dust, you are going too fast.

3. Group dinner Friday night at 8pm at Miyabi's Japanese Steakhouse about a mile from the majority of motels. Headcount will be taken on Thursday .

4. Please respect the setup requirements of the CMB club. We have designated areas for canopies, trailers and vehicles. We are doing this to maximize the areas for the canopies to be closer to the water for the racers.

5. Open water on Wednesday is uncontrolled (no CD). Be prepared to go after your own boats. The retrieve boat is at the lake. Open water on Thursday will be CD controlled and much tighter. There are open water rules posted on the side of the drivers stand bldg. Please look at them BEFORE you start any running of boats. They exist for the SAFE running of the boats and not to be a pain in the rump. They will be enforced.

6. Lunch will be provided through a local vendor, Britton's BBQ (no relation to Bill Britton!) Thursday through Sunday. Please support them.

7. There will be dumpsters on site. Trash bags are available for all and please use them and drop your trash in the dumpster when you depart.

8. MeTime Productions will be doing a web broadcast of the entire race, starting on Friday morning. Remember this is a 3 day race and driver's meeting is at 7:30am each day. Race commentary will be provided (mostly) by Gabe Clegg, National OB Tunnel Director.

9. No boots are required to launch/recover boats. We have a large floating dock that will be used for launching and recovering all boats. No launching from the water is permitted. Bring some rain gear just in case. Maybe if we bring it we won't need it!!!

Safe driving to all and see you soon for the 2009 Fall Nationals race.

John

If you do step in the water it is over your head...I know for a fact...lol

I will be checking in drivers starting Wed at my tent. All those who have ordered shirts you can pick them up there. We will have a list for dinner Friday night. The sooner we can get a count the better.

Can't wait to see everyone...jj
