Engine popularity

I know the 2 most popular engine makes on IW. Both .45 and .21. Why don't I read more about AA engines? Is there some sort of problem with them? I'm curious.

I know nothing about the AA21's

But I can tell you, I have a straight intace AA45 in a sport-40 that is a great power plant

AA 45 took 3rd spot on the podium in 45 hydro at the worlds. I have a 45 AA in a hydro that runs very well too. Excellent engine at a reasonable cost.

I have an AA .45 in one of my riggers and it is a powerhouse. I think mainly it because Al really doesn't advertise them so much but they are a very strong motor.

Al Hobbs does not have a website now but that likely will change from what I heard this past weekend at Charleston. That would help considerably. The A/A engines are an excellent choice for any boat class, first class design and workmanship and backed up by a outstanding racer who stands behind his products. Consider them in the future.
