*****RMBC has the right to combine classes in the event that the minimum number is not met. Drivers in the classes affected will be notified 2 weeks in advance if this occurs****

***Please note that we are combining sport 60 from out quebec friends with the 1/8 scale. The Sport 60's from quebec run the same type hull and same .67 engines. The boats are just not pure scale. Everyone in IMPBA D1 enjoys racing with them****

The 2014 Carey Lake Classic has been cancelled due to weeds. The first weed bloom was about. 2.5 weeks ago just along shore. Ever since then it has gotten worse and continues to get worse. We spent 5 hours pulling weeds cutting weeds and even trying to rake them yesterday and the weeds that were chopped up went nowhere. To make it worse you can see weeds below the surface at buoys 3 and 6. I apologize for the inconvenience this is going to cause for the racers coming out of town. The weeds really took us by surprise this early in the year and the owner of the pond never mentioned they had a serious weed problem. The plan is to clean the course up and to hold a fun run free of cost. Details of that to follow. Sorry again to everyone. Refunds will be issued for those who signed up for the race and paid via paypal.
