Hopefully this is just copy and paste oversight.
But the open water is usually 1/2 day Wednesday and all day Thursday.
The 5 hours is not a good idea at all. It didn’t work well at the last race either. Trying to tune 200-300 boats in 5 hours isn’t enough time.
Folks spend a lot of money and time to attend these events and need time to get things right.

Yes , open water has been essential for many and hopefully they can extend that longer. In the past you ran 5 times if you qualified and that format built the race. It says 4 rounds (time permitting). I would sure hope they make the 4 rounds for this nitro race, since they changed the format.

Yes, there has always been an F hydro class and a single F hydro class.

This is what helped make an outstanding race.
Nitro TWINS EVERYWHERE

THIS IS THE PREMIER NITRO RACE
SO WHY NOT THE 2 F HYDRO EVENTS???

Twenty-Four hours up and we already have 6 out of 10 entries in E Hydro that are conflicts. The BMBI Club President Ron Drake will be posting here shortly.

E. Radio Impound 1. Transmitters shall be impounded upon arrival at a contest site from all competitors in the pit areas. Transmitters using the 2.4Ghz frequency will be exempt from the impound area. 2. The impound area shall be furnished by sponsoring club and shall be properly shaded and provided adequate protection from the weather and theft. The IMPBA and host club are not held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged transmitters. Transmitters will have the contestants name and IMPBA number attached to the transmitter. 3. Frequency flags as approved by IMPBA / FCC are mandatory at all times to be displayed on the transmitters. Transmitters using the 2.4Ghz band do not require frequency flags. 4. The proper contest officials will control the use of transmitters for checking operations.

Races have been happening for 50 years with boaters on the same freq. If you running more than one heat whats the problem? Maybe IMPBA or the HOST club need to use a facebook page to enter & quit paying these outside venues to organize the races.

Two heats in each class,, some people switch to alternate frequency... I don't see a problem..

unless you plan on running 12 boat heats in E and F Hydro ??
If you do, somebody PLEASE video them!!
