Building Advice

So I am still waiting for my Hawk kit to get in and am getting very impatient. So I downloaded the plans for the .90 Scorpion. I am thinking about attempting a scratch build. Any advice?

I just found this on-line it seems to be a not bad starting point.

I thought riggers could only turn one way this guy's is turning both ways. :huh:
