There is something going on with the firewall in reguards to attachments/pictures displaying in the forum. Here is the temporary fix for the problem..... sorry it is not super easy.

you can make you attachment as always to upload the image to the server. The picture will not automatically display however.

to get your pic to display you need to add a little code. heres what it is:

(img)http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachments/YOURPICNAME.JPG(/img)

put that little code in your post to display the picture..... however replace (&) with [&] and insert your pictures name where it says "YOURPICNAME.JPG"

if you already uploaded the image all you need to do is add the code to your post.

hope that makes sense and is not too hard for short term fix.

??? ??? ??? ??? ??? Doesn't work for me.

Hey Guys, "I NEED HELP ON THIS"

I have a new camera and am trying to post pictures of my new .12 rigger and can't do it. Below is step by step of what I have been doing.

#1 Save the picture in My Documents

#2 Select Send Topic

#3 Type in Subject and Message

#4 Go down to Attach and click Browse

#5 Select the picture from My Documents and click to attach

#6 Click on Post

Now,after reading Toms post, I still have questions!

Where do you put this new code? In the message part or what!

What do you mean by replace (&) with [&] ? "I don't even come

up with anything like that."

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Don :-[

oh boy.... i was afraid it would be too hard....

well when you make a post or reply you see above your text this icon
img.gif
that is the code you need to insert the image then replace the "URL" with the location of the image. images uploaded to the server from the forum go to the http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachments folder. all you need to to is add the name of the file you uploaded to the directory and thats where your image is located.

i got another idea..... try this:

Code:
copy and paste this code (highlight it and hit "Ctrl C")

[img=http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachments/YOURPICNAME.JPG]

type the text in for your post

use the browse button and select your image. lets say the file was named boat1.jpg

paste the code you copied (hit "Ctrl V") at the bottom of the text in your post.

[img=http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachments/YOURPICNAME.JPG]

then change the part if that that reads YOURPICNAME.JPG to boat1.jpg it will look like:

[img=http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachments/boat1.jpg]
hope that makes more sense :p

"Wow" It actually worked!

Thanks a bunch Tom. I'll do a little more testing and then

make the proper post.

Don ;D

Do you change the name to the name of the file uploaded to the attachment folder(tank3)--or do you use the whole address (C:Documents and SettingsMaMy DocumentsMy Picturesuploadpicstank3)

just the tank 3 part..... it will also need the file extension..... most likely .jpg

lets see:

tank3.JPG

Ok..I see a picture--do you see a picture? Have I figured it out, or should I still have my 11 yr old niece show me how? ;D

Hey Propjockey,

The only thing I did in addition to what I was doing before was:

#1 Click the INSERT IMAGE Icon- which came up on my message

as

#2 Remove the URL only from the above code and in that same

space between the , I typed

http://www.intlwaters.com/yabbse/attachmen...ts/Dsc00267.jpg

The Dsc00267 is the number of the picture that came up in the

Attach box when I opened it from My Documents.

It also had C;/My Documents? or something like that before the

number but don't type that.

How about those directions from someone who obviously knows

nothing about nothing!

Don ;D

don.... make sense why i put ( & ) now..... cause if you use [ & ] it thinks you really want to add the picture ;)

Tom,

I was looking all over the place for something that looked like

this (&)

I couldn't find two brackets with an & between them!

Anyway, thanks for all the help. Looks like you got us both going.

Don :-[

I DID IT! I DID IT! YIPEEE! ;D

(Ok, calm down.)

Thanks Tom! I was so proud of those tanks for 'Hydro-therapy' and I couldn't post the pics.

I went back and added all the pics in the 'Hydro-therapy' topic--they all came back except one...and it wasn't a good pic anyway.

I told you "you da man!"

do you see how your post has the broken images above?

Code:
yabb uses a modified html code to easily post images.

i can get away with it now cause I am inside of the code tags

meaning if you put [img=URL] without the blue back ground it will try to display an image that does not exist and you get the red x..... hence i said to use (img)URL(/img) and replace the ( and ) with [ and ]

if it still dont make sense dont worry about it.....

Is this how we should post pics from now on...or is this just a temp thing?

Don...Thanks BTW-nice rigger...what engine?
