Another OPC FE P-Spec VS1 w/ PRB4020

I seemd to have talked a few of the local guys into the OPC P-Spec class. Some of which are really on budget and they wanted to use a Proboat outboard to to save about $100. I suggested using that lower unit with the VS1 hull. Does anyone have any thoughts in this combination. Is the proboat outboard going perform reasonably well. I will be replaceing the nylon liner with a brass sleeve and oiler. Lemme know what you guys think. Thanks

Very hard for me to say.. but.. I do know the BP unit is heavy.

I would not get hung up on changing to brass on your drive liners eather.

Thanks for the input. I think as long as the setup is competitive it'll be okay. I'm gonna give it a shot. i ordered the parts today. If weight is the only issue maybe I can just trim the lower a little. Thanks again grim.
