For all us old school guys, George "The Animal" Steel passed away today. Remember him when Gordon Solie was a young pup wrestling promoter on local Florida tv stations & Larry King was a local talk show dj on WIOD in Miami.

Saw him at MSG in NY on a bad date. He ripped out chunks of the padded turn buckles with his teeth. Believe Chief Jay Strongbow, Killer Kawolski and Bruno Samartino were also on the bill.

That was his trademark, then he'd slam his opponent's head into the bare turnbuckle. RRRay, guessin' you remember Haystack Calhoun too?
