I've decided to add a gas cat to my fleet. Had plans printed to 48" scale and plan to run a Zen 26 stock in it. One change I made in the plans is eliminated the 14° slant of the transom to a conventional 90⁰, for simplicity of ready available hardware.

A couple of pics of progress.

I came across that the other day doing research on this boat...and went through every page....although I cant read the info in each post...the pics say a lot...it sure is a sweet looking boat

After reviewing the build link provided by henkie, I've decided to change the profile of the bottom sheeting to V shape. The curving of the 1/16 birch ply is proving challenging, especially at the prow when the curve is compounded. It would probably involve a couple of release cuts...or something.

A simple shallow v cut down the center should work with no problem.....start with a paper template for a pattern

Progress. 🙂

Very nice build. Iff you got qeustions i can answer them.
Hey, thx...I was thinking of using expanding spray foam to fill the areas between bulkheads 1 through 4. Just wondering if anyone has used this stuff, if so, any issues? And would it provide enough flotation.
Thx
Vince

Have you thought about using empty plastic bottles like pop bottles for water bottles then and cheapest water bottles are now you can crush him down a little bit put the caps on them and they provide really good flirtation
