Hey guys, I would just like to know if this is a good combination for heat racing.

1) An AC Model Boat sport 40.

2) Speed Master rudder with single water pick-up. (.21 size for less drag)

3) Speed Master strut.

4) OPS .45 with racing bearings.

5) .45 Mac tuned pipe.

6) Mckoy #9 glow plugs.

7) 40% Red Max fuel.

8) Futaba pistol grip MJ. (2 channel)

I don't have a prop yet, what do you guys think I should go with??

Thanks for all the in-put.

Peter

Stay safe, and race hard!!

Peter,

im not a sport 40 expert but i think the .21-sized rudder may be a mistake.....have you read John Finch's Speed Secret's for monohulls series in RCBM? that oughta help you out with tuning also.....

Joe, thanks for the reply.

I have heard from the races at my pond that it helps down the straightaways. I have not seen it actually go through a turn. I have heard that it works, and I have heard that it doesn't by a few people now to. I wonder what the rest have to say on it.

Thanks for your in-put.

I like to have different oppinions from people, because it just means to try it.

Thanks again.

Peter
