Thought I would throw this in the mix, I've been working on it off and on. This is an ML Boatworks frame kit. Somewhere here a while back, Don F made a comment about building FE boats, "you have to build a watertight box". Maybe I took this to heart, but this has been a challenge on this boat. Trying to keep it light, yet strong. You get the idea from the rear box as the front with the scale Merlin will be the same setup. There will be a rubber seal in between the plexi lids and wood base. Any input or thoughts would be helpful.

I would remove all that and keep the center section open front to rear. Put a lip around the edge and use a lexan lid with 3m tape.
