hehehe good call .......... After I dried it out I tried to figure out what was wrong...the switch didn't make a bit of difference. One thing I noticed was that there was some kind of short because every time I touched the ignitor to the glow plug tip I heard one of the servos make a noise...

These are the 3 available fuel brands at my LHS...any thoughts on which one may be the obvious best? I know about Redmax, but I'd rather support the local guy than order over the net. The main concern I have is that all of these are car/truck fuels, not boat. TIA

Thanks nitro, I feel like I've learned alot even though I haven't even run the boat (this weekend for sure)....If I go with the 10-15%, considering it's an older engine, do I need to add oil? also, talk to me about after run oil...is it a must, how to add, how to flush before a run, etc...

Okay, yer all tellin me before I run this engine I better take it apart and check it out. Can anyone show me where I can find at least an exploded view of it? I just took the 6 head screws out, thinking I could get to the top of the piston, but it is being stubborn, and I don't want to damage...

Not likely....I'll just live with it. It still looks okay unless you are right on top of it, the white hides alot of the imperfections , and I'm sure being new at this I will add to them SOON :) I love speed so much that I'd enjoy a coffee can if it was doing 60MPH+!!!

Hey all, another newbie question for ya........ the boat I just got came with a couple of MC-8 glow plugs, and the seller said he ran it a few times and it ran great with these, but he probably knew less than I do...anyone feel like showing me the pros and cons of glow plugs for the .90, or at...

WD-40 isn't working at all, time for more drastic measures. This is something other than water spots, because I can scrape through it with my fingernail...it would just take forever doing it that way though.

Hey all, Just got my first "used" boat via UPS......needless to say it arrived in the box upside down, and hardened drops of something ( I assume fuel) were all over the hull. I've tried every cleaner in the house, soft scrub, and even Meguiars buffing compound-to no avail. The seller swears...

On advice from all in here, trying to be prepared...... looking for 2 x467's or their equivalent....and a sullivan starter in decent shape...maybe a starter box too :)

SO I will need a 24V power supply for sure? I have one of those 12V jumpstart boxes that I hoped I could use.
