I wish I would have had a camera........

hehehe good call .......... After I dried it out I tried to figure out what was wrong...the switch didn't make a bit of difference. One thing I noticed was that there was some kind of short because every time I touched the ignitor to the glow plug tip I heard one of the servos make a noise...

I wish I would have had a camera........

My first run............got the boat running right off, dropped it in, took off nicely.......wait, lemme set this up........we have a log-boom with a 20 ft opening in front of our boat dock about 100 ft from shore, I thought I'd drop the boat off the dock and steer it through the opening :) ...

Odonell, Blue Thunder, or Cool Power?

These are the 3 available fuel brands at my LHS...any thoughts on which one may be the obvious best? I know about Redmax, but I'd rather support the local guy than order over the net. The main concern I have is that all of these are car/truck fuels, not boat. TIA

    Glow plug for CMB .90

Nitro, that thing on the near side is actually a separate aluminum bracket with a fuel quick-connect......Thanks for the concern, glad you guys are watching my back.

    After run oil

Alllllllllrighty then............Here's the deal. I'll be running the boat, at best, every other weekend, on it's own (no one to race with here). So I need to just drip a few drops of atf through the glow plug hole and turn it over a bit to circulate it after a weekend? Also, since it will...

    Glow plug for CMB .90

Thanks nitro, I feel like I've learned alot even though I haven't even run the boat (this weekend for sure)....If I go with the 10-15%, considering it's an older engine, do I need to add oil? also, talk to me about after run oil...is it a must, how to add, how to flush before a run, etc...

I wanna take my CMB.90 apart, but..........

Re:I wanna take my .90 apart, but.......... Thanks EMS, I was kinda hoping somebody would tell me that.....with boats I feel like I did when the first computer came out...I wanted to gut them but it took 4 years to learn enough to feel comfortable taking the cover off :) .... Unfortunately...

I wanna take my CMB.90 apart, but..........

Okay, yer all tellin me before I run this engine I better take it apart and check it out. Can anyone show me where I can find at least an exploded view of it? I just took the 6 head screws out, thinking I could get to the top of the piston, but it is being stubborn, and I don't want to damage...

    Glow plug for CMB .90

Thanks guys, I wish I knew more about this stuff....I guess it just takes time and experience. I'm also at the disadvantage of not having any local race groups around here, and all the guys at our LHS's look at me funny when I ask about boats. Paul, I'm running the .90 Evo 2000 on a 46"...

    Hull Cleaning

Not likely....I'll just live with it. It still looks okay unless you are right on top of it, the white hides alot of the imperfections , and I'm sure being new at this I will add to them SOON :) I love speed so much that I'd enjoy a coffee can if it was doing 60MPH+!!!

    Glow plug for CMB .90

Hey all, another newbie question for ya........ the boat I just got came with a couple of MC-8 glow plugs, and the seller said he ran it a few times and it ran great with these, but he probably knew less than I do...anyone feel like showing me the pros and cons of glow plugs for the .90, or at...

    Hull Cleaning

****...finally gettin whatever it is off but finding that it has eaten through the gelcoat leaving shallow craters :( Could that have been Nitro fuel sitting on the hull for a week or maybe after run oil?

    Hull Cleaning

WD-40 isn't working at all, time for more drastic measures. This is something other than water spots, because I can scrape through it with my fingernail...it would just take forever doing it that way though.

    Hull Cleaning

Hey all, Just got my first "used" boat via UPS......needless to say it arrived in the box upside down, and hardened drops of something ( I assume fuel) were all over the hull. I've tried every cleaner in the house, soft scrub, and even Meguiars buffing compound-to no avail. The seller swears...

Newbie help...Fuel, parts, for .90 CMB 46" Twincraft

Re:Newbie help...Fuel, parts, for .90 CMB 46" Twincraft Yeah, according to the seller it has EVERYTHING but the starter and fuel...which brings me to another question. I've looked at starters that range from 25$ to 50$....do I need a bigger-than-average starter to turn the .90? .... I have...

Newbie help...Fuel, parts, for .90 CMB 46" Twincraft

Re:Newbie help...Fuel, parts, for .90 CMB 46" Twincraft I thought that tab pick-up was kinda strange .... Here's another shot of the "Octopus" . I don't mind starting out with a challenge, if it turns out to be too much I can go with a smaller motor... I mainly made this purchase to get the...
