IT's Christmas and Birthday time daughter is asking what i want for Both, Whats some good gps for boats since i will have 5, 3 are ready to test, props etc. with and gps sounds like it would help a lot. Thanks

The Sky RC GNSS unit looks pretty nice and would be the one I’d try if my radio didn’t have gps capability with sensors. Just zip tie it inside a balloon and put it in your radio box or some where secure in the boat. It sends info back to your cell phone. I have the Futaba 7PXR radio and with separate sensor it’s a pretty big investment but it works great and yes it’s a phenomenal tool for testing. The separate units work pretty well, I’ve seen other guys use them, just not sure of the brands.

The Sky units are pretty nice. They are APP based. They won't transmit to your phone while testing but once you complete a run, bring the boat close to your phone to transmit the DATA. The Futaba units will transmit real time to the TX.
Right, and if I remember to turn up the volume I can actually hear the mph at specified intervals which alleviates having to look down at the transmitter with my boat going 75 mph!

+1 on the Sky GPS. Great value at $80. Very reliable just as long as you remember to hit the START button BEFORE launch and the STOP button when done (amazing how fast your car goes on the way home from the pond). Phone App works great. Just takes a little time to develop a routine...Pretty invaluable testing tool.
