Has any body set up a graupner systems cat from hobby lobby for high performance. I was thinking about getting one. But I dont like the running hardware that graupner offers for boat. Since I cant seem to find a formula 1 outboard that graupner makes I guess I will settle for a systems cat. any...
I keep hearing about plans for a dunlap 27 tunnel. does anybody have an extra set of these plans. Is it wood over foam or all wood.I have built a dumas hot shot sprint kit ,and two airplanes would I be able to handle building the dunlap 27.
I used to race this boat in the early to mid 80s The hot setup was a K&B3.5 with equi pipe and red carb. I won the very first race I enterd with this boat .this boat was the hot boat in 3.5 and the aerotech was hot in 7.5. We raced in lake charles L.A . just thought I would ad my two cents.
I won a many a race with this hull called a trophy tunnel by john otto in the mid 80s .The hot setup was K&B 3.5, equi pipe, red carb . we would run in lake charles L.A.. this boat was dominate in 3.5 class and aerotech was dominante in 7.5 class. just thought I would ad my two cents.
after searching for electric outboard tunnels ive decided to go with a DPI tunnel. my question is where can I find a outboard conversion that adapts a electric motor to a K&B lower unit.I saw an old advertisement in a boat modeler for a PMP conversion, do they still make that conversion. any...
Hey dennis this is Tracy, thanks for all of the interesting info. I have run the DPI and built a hot shot sprint wood, both in nitro. So you have got me thinking about building another sprint for elec.. would I be able to lighten it up a bit? I also saw an article on here about a balsa sprint...
im looking for a boat that looks realistic and will run around 20 or 25 mph.im not going to race, Im going to run this boat at lake where we go camping.
hey kris this is tracy, you can find pictures of it on MRCs web site. go to yahoo and type in model rectifier corperation. and it shows a picture of the hull. thanks for the help. I was about to start building a wood over foam boat, but I would rather buy one already built.
Update! i found MRCs web site and looked at a picture of the f1 tunnel and it looks real good im just wondering what kind of outboard it has, can it be modified .IT says the motor is a 540 size, but I do not know anything about electrics could somebody reply and tell me if this is a fast motor...
Has any body seen the outboard tunnel made by MRC. MRC stands for model rectifier corp. Im new to electrics and want to run outboard tunnels , I had my eye on the graupner f1 tunnel but hobby lobby cant get one. Anyway I ran across an ad in a airplane magazine that showed a elec. outboard...
im going to order a villian in a couple of weeks. I have one question is this boat a wood over foam. also I have built a hot shot sprint about 10 years ago would this kit be similar in construction.
