The pushrod support pedestal on the left is made from a balsa block with a section of ply epoxied to the top to give the screws something solid to bite into. Next to the pedestal is the pipe bracket & the 'glassed in ply base to strengthen this area & allow for the stainless countersunk screws to come up from underneath. Also if you look up front just above the steering pushrod you can see the just 'glassed in 5/32" brass tube with barbed end that will discharge water out the right side under the deck.
