Slots are cut into the deck to allow aluminum angle stock to be slid in & then pulled up against the deck. The areas that contact the deck underside are drilled with multiple holes then liberally coated with resin before being pulled up & clamped in place until they are cured. Afterwards a 1/4" hole gets drilled on the underside directly beneath each angle bracket & will be pinned with a dowel rod & filled for added strength.
