Chris was concerned about carb clearance on the cowl with a valvola style induction system since it has not been tried previous to this. As can be seen here with the cowl sitting on a piece of foam next to the tub there will be plenty of room. This is also helped greatly by the fact that the Blackbird is set up with the motor mounted parallel to the tub as opposed to the typical angled installation found in most hulls.
