My new Seaducer 44" w CMB 101RS (Modified by Mark Bullard) - Running this weekend in Huntsville. Still breaking in so won't be setting any records but ready to let it see water for the first time. Thanks to Doc, Julian and Mark I got it ready in time and set up pretty well. This is my first Nitro Mono build after making the move over from Gas...Kip

Looks good! Mine is yellow too, but with a white bottom. Hopefully, I'll have it in the water in about a week or so...

Mine is powered by an O.S. .91, so we'll see how she does against the italian engines...

Glad to see people are building big block nitro boats!....

Interesting choice of water outlet placement , Any reason why there ?

Enjoy it, there a a blast to run. I finally found the handle on mine new boat at the last 2 day and Im loving it.

As Brett said, bring her down south, we have a pretty decent thing going in X-Mono.

That's how they come outta the box Andy. Steve Wood recomended plugging the holes to the lower cooling chamber with 4-40 set screws so the motor will get up to temp. I've done this on the Rs 45's and a friends 1.01 I just drilled/tapped a 10-32 hole 180 degrees from the top hole and rotated the cap to keep the lines away from the starter belt. On motors with the head screws going thru the water I've replaced the carbon steel screws with Stainless Steel and used tef-gel on threads to prevent corrosion(thanks Rick Bellenger). The corrosion in my friends 1.01 was unreal after one summer.

I was referring to where he exited the water from the hull- at the transom, it just may be hard to see in the rooster tail

I couldnt bring myself to drill the hull and just had it there :D I ran on the water for the first time today after bench break-in yesterday. Wow, is all I can say! First experience with a big block! Took it easy and went through two more tanks. Only thing that sent me home was no zip ties around tuned pipe and it blew apart. Other than that mistake on my part it was flawless. Not sure I can make it back over to gas after today. I guess from what I'm reading, two more tanks or so & should be ready to lean out?

Man I love watches and I thought it would look good. Jeff at Ground up Designs did an awesome job - will definitely use him again. Here is the actual bad boy Omega Seamaster!!

be careful blowing the coupler.

A hole in the piston will ruin your day. It will happen real quick. Ask me how I know. :(

IF you do not have at least a gallon on it..............Plan on calling Stu soon. ;) ;)

Oh............Mark and Doc helped you??? You will have that in the water for Huntsville won't you....  :D

1.01's when the pipe is butted up to the header are hard on couplers. Zip ties or not. Tom Foley in Fl. Can weld an extention on your pipe that will telescope over the header making it easier on the couplers.

My 45-80 motors seem to run best HOT and RICH. Do not be in a hurry to lean it out especially if the couplers are blowing out.

Yeah I was in a turn and heard the pipe change sound and knew I had a problem. I think I will do more than a gallon and half - I dont want a hole or a siezing of the piston!

Looks Great- guess you found the fuel problem :)
Glenn - I did and the problem was the "tee" which I was using to make fueling easier. The fuel was going through the 3rd channel and coming out of the carb instead of to main tank through hopper. Because it is such a pain to take off the fuel tubing, fuel and replace on bottom of 3rd channel (serious pain the arse) I kept the tee but use a pair of hemostat pliers to pinch off the fuel line to the 3rd channel. Problem solved and knuckles saved.

Julian gave me the tip

Yes hot and rich is the way to run these big eng. The heat burns the fuel and rich keeps it lubed. controlling water flow is the ticket. Find the sweet spot and you are golden.

Now if I could just get Tommy to come out of his shell and get his system on line.

Anyone using needle valves in their water line???

Decals came out great Kip thanks for the kind words.

I am working up the proof for the whip right now will email it over shortly.

Huntsville was awesome today - maybe a touch on the windy side, but really nice otherwise. No holes in pistons and No seized 101RS. Have about 1/2 gallon to go before I'll call it "broke-in" What a good time. Most important lesson I learned is that you can actually drive the nose of your both 6" into the mud at the lake there
