Yep Maxima is no problem and a mate is just producing his own oils called C4 racing castor (Jason Crump ex world solo speedway champion) he ran the ROCK oils stuff for years. Torco and Redline do some good stuff but the stupid thing is 10 year's ago they where 10 times easier to get! Here is an example of what goes on in Australia. I used to drink a bourbon called George Dickel. Beat Jack Daniels in many bourbon whiskey taste offs in the USA! So Jack Daniels purchased the Australian distribution rights for George Dickel and then refused to ever import it!! Remington Rifles is another example we get all the seconds that the USA can't sell or refuse to take!! Guy's in the USA would argue the point over stuff like this! But it's true! I used to smoke Camel filterless soft packs!(still would if they imported them!!) But now we get some Japanese Camel filters that are made in Poland!! They DON'T EVEN TASTE LIKE CAMEL! It will only get worse before it gets better!
That's crazy, Bradley!... I guess it just goes to show that governments worldwide are putting the screwing to the

citizens... 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely'.

Not a regular bourbon drinker, but if Dickel's a choice, I'll have a drink of it it. Never cared for JD. More of a single malt scotch

drinker. If and when I drink.

Thanks-

TW

Tim,

Thanks. A little over a year ago it was out of production due to certain components not being available according to the rep I spoke with at Redline. They said they were searching for new suppliers for those components.

Tim & Brian,

One of the best Redline oils that we use is:

Two-Cycle Alcohol. #3505A

Good stuff if you can find it.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Yes, Mark, that's the one we're talking about...we inquired with Red Line about it a while back

and I was told to hold off, as it's in the midst of reformulation.

Tried to contact Red Line today to pursue status and couldn't get through.

As far as 2 strokes outside of rc boats, it's far beyond any POE synthetics we've ever used.

Engines and internal components were always super clean.

I'd still augment it with 20%-30% first pressed castor, though, because of the shearing

between piston/liner and critical flashpoint in that area.

It's available directly from Red Line @ $19.95/ Qt., P/N 40504

I've found that REDLINE oils customer service is excellent! Companies like Castrol and Shell in my country are asleep at the wheel. Year's ago they would switch you through to a technician and he would answer every question. Now it's some lady in the office! It was close to a month and 15 phone calls to find out what happened to Castrol M in Australia and Tim your dead right about the Absolute Power bit! Some of your founding fathers words are more realistic in today's world than ever before! Like the old turn yourself into a sheep and become food for the wolves

OK, guys, we just got off the phone with Dave at Red Line. He's going to pass my queries on to the chemist

and we'll go from there. Dave indicated that there's absolutely no need to add castor to their product, as

the physical properties in today's modern POE synthetics have eclipsed castor significantly.

We mentioned the oil percentages, by volume, that we typically use in our motors- 18%-20%- as well as

the nitromethane percentages.

Just for the record, if one wanted to supplement the Red Line 2 Cycle Alcohol oil with castor, it's completely

compatible.

Red Line is completely aware of the high pressure, high shear and temperature that occurs in our motors

when the piston reaches TDC in the tapered liner.

When we receive email correspondence from the chemist, we'll gladly forward it to this thread.

Thanks for your interest on this topic.

Regards-

Tim Whalen

Bradley, it's great to see that someone sitting on the outside of the USA, looking in, is more attuned to the realities that are actually happening

here than the large amount of citizenry here that don't get it... Buncha damned sheep!

Socialism and progressive liberalism have turned everything in their paths into absolute destruction. Eventually.

When the flea's have eaten the dog, then what???...

OK, here's the response from the Red Line rep-

'Tim,

The product has been packaged, the chemist verified that it mixes well at 20% oil, 50% nitro and 30% methanol.

The most recent product was only packaged in quarts, if you send me your order I will pull it to verify that it is the most recent batch.

Regards,

Dave Granquist'

There ya go, right from the horse's mouth.

Thanks-

Tim

Does anyone know what is current Red-Line 2 stroke oil that mixes with nitro?? Sku # or "name".

Searched their website and no luck.

Checked the Redline web page and it's not listed. If you do an Ebay search, you will find a couple of sellers that sell gallons of Redline twocycle alcohol mix oil for less than $72.00 shipped. Best price I've seen anywhere. FYI there a few Aussie sellers, too. Ain't Ebay great!!

I made a call to Redline oil in Benicia (Northern California). I asked about the alcohol mix two cycle oil. Dave the tech said they did not have it on the website because they didn't have images of the new label yet. They still package the product in quarts. He said it could be available in Australia if the Aus distributor orders it, but he doesn't know if they have it in stock.

Don't want to start a pissing match with anyone but I havta strongly disagree.

I spent quite a few years running some of the top synthetic oils available, Premium 500 (probably Mobile Jet oil II), Morgan's, Motul and a specially blended oil VP supplied to the top go kart teams. All claimed to have better properties than castor and all worked very well.

BUT, I have at least a dozen burnt/galled piston/sleeves that says otherwise. I run 12% oil which I know is on the low side but after proper break in (extra oil) it's plenty IMHO. I started running 1/3rd of that 12% oil as castor (Blendzall mostly) and have not had one gall/burn piston since going on 5 years now. That's running 21's to 90's with 60 & 70% nitro.

Castor for me!

Have you talked to Blendzall? Obviously most blends are not 100% castor. I'm wondering if they are 50/50 caster mixed with synthetic or 80/20. Got any idea??
