Any input on magnets for cowl? I'm looking for something strong enough to keep it in place. 20lbs strength or so is my guess?

It's looking great Joey!

So I've looked in our home depot before and never saw any magnets that I liked. I don't know what you've found, but did you take a minute to check out the kj magnetics website that Don suggested? They've got super-sexy-super-strong round, square, rectangular, triangular, whatever kind you could ever want. Tapered mounting holes too so you can do some real slick mounting of them. I used the small rectangular ones on my Superior and Brandt's Bud and they work awesome.

Keep up the great work. I love that Renault!

Making a a little more headway.

I like it! For the "lettering", are those decales? Or are they sketches or tracings made from the Newton drawings?

How are you planning to route your driveline? In "top view", offset to the left, parallel to the hull? Angled to the left? S curve or J curve to the left (top view) ? ...Or?

Thanks.

Wesley's did the Graphics for me, Great work and very speedy delivery, Thank you again Wesley's custom graphics. As far as the drive line, yet to be determined. I keep changing things in my head, have not figured out if I'm going to drop the motor lower and cut a belly pan or not. Once that decision is made then the rest should fall right into place. Installed my magnets yesterday but not to happy with the strength. Will probably just end up using tape as a safety backup. I wanted to make sure it would be easy to apply tape if needed.

I got tired of waiting for the cowl, not upset over it. Very happy will just use the new one for the backup when it comes. So that being said, Here is the latest.

Corvette paint codes from 1981. There is no yellow for 82,83,or 84. To save some $$$ you might try to find a can of duplicolor in the correct yellow for a base

then spray the clear over that. I'm going that route on my next boat.
