It looks like you are using 2 tanks. Is that because there is not enough room for enough fuel to use a single tank in either one of the two locations?

Not entirely, Greg. Brian's design for the boat utilized a rear pocket for the entire tank under the deck, behind the motor. (There's actually room under the deck for a tank more than twice the size of what you see in the rear of my boat)
Since this was a test mule, we set mine up to run a larger fuel load up front just to see how the boat would handle this configuration.
Brian's personal boat has a larger tank in the rear and a smaller tank in the front, both versions work well
