Thanks to all the sponsors and the Indy boat club crew. Also thanks to the city of Hobart.

Congrats to all the winners.

We had a real nice time and hope to return next year.

I appreciate all the work put in by the many people involved. I had a great time each day and can't believe how quickly four days went by!

I had way too much fun racing in RTR. I wish the RTR class was this popular at all ponds. Some of the best races came in RTR - if you got the chance to watch them. It's a great way to get new modelers into the hobby and help preserve nitro racing...

Great job Stu and the Indy boat club... the race is a pretty class act... complete with pink towels!... JD and the woman in the R boat sweatin it out for days... theres the award surely.... mission accomplished... ours was recon, and the comp level was top tier big time.... might be an Iowa invasion next year.... we put names to alot of internet faces... couldnt get to them all, sadly, the racing was that intense.... friends, food and fun... goal... thanks.... Mike

Mike, that was Kyle Jacobs with JD in the boat. Every year she works hard at helping out.

Stu,

You and the Indy Model Boat Club did it again. Great Racing, Great People, Great Town.

All one could ask for in a great model boating event. Enjoyed my fourth event as much as

the first three. Would like to see another four day event next year with more people expected next year from around the world. It was nice to see the Paul's from Australia

this year.

Thanks To Everyone Involved,

Mark Sholund

Even though I had some of the worst luck in as long as I can remember it still was a FANTASTIC time! The IndyMasters @ Hobart is way more than a boat race, it's like a family reunion. Stu PLEASE keep it 4 days/5 rounds of racing as Shelly & I treat it like a vacation, already looking forward to it next year.

Thank you for fabulous boat race and I enjoyed it very much. I met new friends and the buffet was excellent. I impressed how the boat race went smoothly flow on schedule and it was unlucky when it was heavy pour raining last Friday and windy on Saturday. I was surprised that we got snow since yesterday upon my arrival in Calgary. Since the temperature on Highway I-94 in Montana it was 92F then going through to Great Falls, it dropped to 34 F

I just wanted to say thanks to the entire Indy crew and the city of Hobart for hosting such a special event. We had a great time and I have some memories I will never forget. Thanks again to all.

I've been to many model boat racing events, and Hobart is certainly one of the best.

Here's a few photos.

Rob Betke won 1/8 Scale with his O'Berto

Mike Betke's Miss U.S. flying high

Ron Zaker, Jr. won D Hydro

Gary Preusse placed 3rd in 1/8 Scale

Stu's E Hydro(I think)

Stu's Twin(Won Twin Class)

Big Brian and Dick Tyndall mix it up in Sport 40 - both boat continued running

JD and Gary Preusse - Something like a combined 107 years of rc model boating

Great photos Jerry Dunlap! Wish I could have been there. Looks like the weather was mostly perfect.

Mostly. We lost probably a good 5 or more total hours of racing because of some nasty storms rolling through. They lost the canopy over the hot pits and my pop-up canopy got trashed but usable. I don't know if anyone else's got damaged. David Preusse's house got some damage to the north of us when a tree went down. as the storm did a lot of damage from at least Chicago to Detroit. The downpours caused the lake and river there to go up a good 5".

Thanks to the city of Hobart and the crew from Indy for putting on a good race. Jerry Dunlap, thanks for hauling my boats around so much on Saturday in the retrieve boat. He made more laps hauling my boats than I drove them.
