What is the best way to store LiPo's for the winter season of not being used? Also the same infor for the NiMH, Thanks

Recent-vintage NiMH cells - post 3300s - should be stored fully charged, and re-charged regularly (monthly or so). As for LiPos - I'll defer that answer to someone else.

.

50-75% charge for lipos is what I do.

Been working for that last 2 yrs.

According to ThunderPower, one of the largest LiPo suppliers, their 1010C charger has a storage charge feature.

"If selected, charger will charge to 3.85v/cell, the optimum cell storage voltage."

Harding Energy states to store at 40% of capacity. http://www.hardingenergy.com/pdfs/LiPolymer.pdf

This site says 50-60%: http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache:Tced_C...=clnk&cd=53

Castle Creations says to store at 50%; LiPos stored at full charge for extended periods will lose capacity and discharge capability and will eventually puff. 100% is a BAD idea.
