I know of SEVERAL other pond that I have had the pleasure of running on all over the country (perks of my job) but I don't think the people that operate them would like me to publish their info on the internet. I just hooked up with two guys in the Topeka/Kansas City KS area that have a KILLER pond on the north side of Topeka. Videos of it can be seen on my youtube channel user name Buckshot844.

Buck,

Chaaazam what a site,looks like some doors need left closed. The Wall fits there :~}

ITs not as user friendly to search that whole forum. I think it should be broken down by state, so say 50 posts by state and any info about ponds, clubs, club races, dist races, etc etc should be posted there...
This would make it much more user friendly. Would this be possible Tom?

Why don't you just add them to the members map. ;)

David
That sounded like a good suggestion....

... at first...

So I went and tried it...

My thoughts...

I have a hard time finding myself on that map, even after I added myself.

My question is...

How would one would know the difference between a lake and a member when they are all lso squished together?

Then how would they know to go to the "member" map to find "lakes"?

And how would I know if it is Members Only or not?

... or require me to trek near a 1/4 of a mile with my gear on my back?

Like I said... It sounded a like a good idea until I tried it for myself with the same purpose in mind.

Roger I think with a little tweaking it would work just fine. I am not a guru at this stuff but I bet you could make the balloons a different color and change the header on the main page to members and ponds. Also have the pop up go to a page just like you would for a member.

when I click on a balloon I get the location eg Larrys Speedway, when i drill down on directions it brings up the classic google from to dialog box when i enter my addy it gives me driving instructions. Its just Google maps that someone took the time to enter alllocations and saved, but I like the visual. I will do one for IMPBA D-2 ponds when I get the chance

Hi Tom:

Google Maps

click on my places

create a map

key in titles etc.

find locations or club ponds etc edit those pin points and key in correct text

save

after creating the initial map you need to save it and then make sure that you edit when you want to change the pinpoint descriptor etc.

as you can see you can pictures hyperlinks etc.

That looks great. There you go not as hard as it looks. Just need some advice from some one that knows how to do it.

will be a great resource for IW if it is used.

Some times thing are not as involved as you think thy are.

Remember KISS. :)

Quickie partial club and pond list just to see how it works. seems easy enough

Thanks for showing us that Tony! Neat stuff! B)

It says "IMPBA District-2 Pond Locations" in the title. Can you change the title easily? Possibly to something more general... Like R/C Model Boat Pond Locations? I'd like to add my locations in too.

OR

Should we just start a new one for IW?
