what carbs for mac 21 and 45

What OS carbs would be best for a Mac 21 and 45. I have an OS 20G that came off a OS RZ-M marine engine but has a bore size of .400 is that too big for the 21

My .21 runs great with the OS 4E and the OS in flight needle. I would stick with the stock carb and a CMD needle on the .45.

I use a OS 20J (The one that comes with the OS outboard) with a BVM remote needle on a CMB Valvola (CMB version of MAC 21) with good results. Some of my boating buddies use the 20J with OS remote needle valve with good results too, but their remote needle have to stay with the carb.

I use a 40A carb with my MAC 45.

How did you change the induction timing on the Valvola drum? or are you using a gear box?
