turn fin depth

I'm setting up a Cotton feild sport 20. How far should the turn fin be in the water? I was figering about 1.5 in. below the bottom of the sponsen. I've got a Brian Blazer turn fin, I feel as though its not deep enough in the water at about 1/2 in.
