Tunnel Hull Shape

Is there any rules to what a cowl for a tunnel hull must look like? :unsure: Do they all have to look like WWII bomber fuselages?

No rule on the cowl. You might be suprised how well those bomber fuselage shapes work though. The boat has to have some downforce built into the top deck or.....built into the front of the cowl. If you look at the latest F1 tunnel boats in Europe they have evoloved into a new shape where the nose meets the deck. Looks like they got the idea from the F1 cars.

It's not that I don't like the look. I'm a big fan of WWII bomber nose art and those cowls are perfect for it. It's just I've come up with an idea that I think would make them perform better. Think I'll just go ahead and make one. If they don't like it I'll put the ol bomber back on.
