How does temperature affect pipe length? I.E. Does a pipe "act shorter" as it gets hotter or the other way around?

Hotter pipe acts shorter.

As the pipe gets hotter, the pipe length needs to be lengthened to maintain the same powerband.

Rich, don't forget that you can add a midsection to lower the kick-in RPM, at the cost of the front cone length, or shorter header length. This is the easiest way to get a hydro with lots of wheel up and going. John in HHuntsville

Hi Rich, The TT comes up on the 15-16th of this month. You're too early!! :huh: Right now the equipment is still in Valdosta, but I expect it back this week. The Jackson site is nice, great bunch of fellas, lots of cool shade trees. I wish Huntsville had some of those trees!! I expect the Regatta will be fine this year, I will be there for the timed events and board meeting only, see you then!!!
