Got my hours cut at work and decided to use some of the time to finish some projects that have been on the shelf. Have a Thomas 8255 and need some final setup tips....strut depth, rudder length, props used and a decent looking driver. Thanks

Here is some info from the setup sheets. You can email me if you need a copy.

  1. SETUP

Your boat should balance about 21 to 22 inches from the transom. The 1 inch strut setting is a good starting

point. Your boat weight, balance point and type of setup, front radio or rear radio, will determine the final

strut depth for your boat.

Use foam pool floats or foam pipe insulation for flotation for your hull, you should check to see if your boat floats before you run it for the first time! Weight can be added to the front sponsons for the perfect ride attitude of your boat. Boats with the front radio setup and the right side fuel tank may need some weight in the left front sponson. Put the weight in the end of the pipe insulation tubes using ty raps to hold it in place.

Props that will work on this boat, Octura x455/3, x457 x457/3 x460 are good,

the 1457 1460 may also work.
