I'm ready to install the stuffing tube in my .12 rigger and could use
some input.
The Octura .130 strut is mounted on the inside of the transom and
is put together in reverse so that the nose piece is on the long end
of the strut tube and the rear of the strut extends only about
1/16" beyond the transom. The distance between where the brass
stuffing tube fully clears the bottom and the nose piece is 3 1/2".
For ease of adjustment, I would like to run the teflon tube about
2 1/2" before it enters the brass tube.
Is the too long?
Also, is .130 cable OK? I could go .150 but really don't want to.
Thanks
