Thanks for the compliment Andy,That means ALOT coming from

you! Also the killer Andy Brown props I run on all my boats helps

alot too. Also thanks for cranking out the set of props for my twin

so quick.I got there Thurs.,seen the size of the lake, and knowing it

is going to be QUITE busy on the lake with 6 twins out there I ordered

a set of props with less cup than what I normally run at about 4 or 5pm

Thurs.Sat.morning John gets there and hands me the props.I was

blown away.THANKS again Andy. Norman,Lamar,Bobby H.,it

was nice to get to meet you guys, great job running the race, you kept

the heats cranking through pretty well,it was also nice to get to put some

faces to names from Intl.Waters.I don't know if anybody noticed or

not but I did not even run my twin in open water Thurs.or Fri.I just

flowed it Sat. morning and threw it in using my remote needles,(that

DO NOT work on a twin),and never looked back.John K.,please do not

use the bad water for excuses. All of the heats were not crappy water conditions.I sat there Thurs.and Fri. watching open water and seen hydro after hydro

that was set up too loose out there running with 2 or 3 boats on the lake with

them. Not to mention what it was going to be like with 6 or 8 boats out there

churning the water up.Mark Bullard,it was great getting to meet you and chat

with you.I wish we would have had a few more heats together, you have a great running boat there that you built yourselve, and are a great driver. One more

thing, keep in mind when looking at the shootout points, that Mark,Don,and I

did not have to run the 4th heat to get into the final. We sat it out.Mitch

Congrats to Mitch on a stellar weekend of hydro racing (not just the twin class!!)

Thanks for the help with my 40 hydro, that prop rocks!

~James

Mitch, You the man. That Trophy is taller then you.   It was a great race weekend. Great too put faces together with the guys on this board. That big old fat tub twin handled the chop. Congrats. Ray and Carl

Thanks James,it was nice meeting you.I feel sorry for the guys

in your district that run 40 hydro. That boat is going to be ballistic

after you get done dialing it in.I am thinking I need to trade my

Ultra-lite in for an Extreme after seeing yours run the first time

you threw it in.

Ray,Carl, nice meeting you guys too.I think that is the best part

of going to the bigger races, being able to put a face to a name

that you see here on intlwaters.Mitch

Mitch,

Thanks to you and all of the racers from outside of District 13 that came and helped make this a great race. I should have the video of the final available later tonight and a picture of you and that trophy. Great job setting your boats up for the conditions we had. You and Jerry set your boats up for the conditions at hand and raced your a$$'s off. I hope you guys can get back up this way again this year. We have one, maybe two more races scheduled for this same lake. Congratulations again on winning the 2005 Spring Nationals Twin Hydro Shootout hosted by the Atlanta Model Boaters. That final was definately "Fire on the Water!"

Bobby, everybody that came up from Dist.3 had a great time.

We would do it again sometime,it just depends on the dates

if they interfere with our race schedule or not. Can't wait

to see the video on that last heat,I was so zoned in I didn't

see anything going on unless it was 100 feet in front of my

boat.I think I stopped breathing on the 2nd or 3rd lap,I

can't remember for sure!! Mitch

WOW!! what a weekend, Hats off to all that ran that race and Standing ovation for Mitch with one top class performance ( We are going to Jackson right Mitch??)Norm ,J.Porter,Huff Boys great meeting you all, can't wait to get back up there ,, Steve Hearl

A HUGE congrats to Mitch!!! His big ol' 20 pound Roadrunner was the ticket in that tore up water for sure. I had my hand on the ring for a fleeting moment, totally nailed the start & was gone, leaving the others to chase. But alas the glory was brief as the pond monster rose up & grabbed me a lap & a half later. :( Regardless the event was fantastic & it was great to see so many people that either I hadn't seen in years or only previously knew on-line (I've swapped e-mails with Mitch since early '99 but we never met until this weekend). The Atlanta boys put on a great show & I will definitely be back next year!! :)

Just wanted to let all the Atlanta boys know that I had a great time, and that I will be back next year with all my boats! There was excellant racing in all the heats, and the twin shootout was just out of this world!!!! :p . Met alot of people who we just swapped e-mails in the past!!

Congrads to Mitch in winning the shootout, and to everyone else who won! Too bad the ol" pond monster grabbed Don's twin, becuase he was money on the start, and he was walking away from the pack quick!! :D :D

Anyway's,just wanted to say congrads to all the winners and let the Atlanta boat club know it was well worth the 8 hour drive from Virginia!! See you next year!!!

Mike :p

Hats off to the Atlanta club for a great weekend. What an amazing site!!! Probably the best organized and well run races i've been to in the 17 years i've been in the hobby. The 15 hr one way drive from Canada was well worth it. Thanks Norm, Wendy and the rest of the Atlanta club. See Ya'll next year.

Ron, with you being from Canada it probably felt like a warm spring weekend in Atlanta Eh? :D

Scott Norris

Right on Scott. It was actually snowing back home. It was plenty warm enough for me in Atlanta when the wind died down.

Thanks Mitch for the comment. I did have a great time racing with you and the rest of the gang. If bouy #4 had not jump out in front of me on the first lap I might have been able to make it a little more exciting. There were some of the best twins in the country there this past weekend. I watch one race where Mitch, Don, and Rafael had about 100 feet between each boat on the start. They ran flat out for 6 laps and finished that way. I know that I beat myself on the F-Hydro class with bouy cuts. They will cost you a lot of points. That change I made on my boat made me have to learn how to drive it again. We both ran our boats in F-Hydro and Twin Class. And to finish the way we did in both classes with the level of competition is rewarding in itself. Mitch do come to the Internats this year I am sure that you will have a good time.

Mark Bullard

To the Atlanta club and Norman you did a great job on the race this year. It takes a lot of commitent to put on a race of this size and make it work. This race will go down in the history books as one of the finest races in this decade. And Norman to your lovely wife Wendy. She sat up there in that wind and cold for two days, she deserves a big at-a-boy. Wendy my hat is off to you for a great job.

Mark Bullard

I too would like to thank all of the Atlanta Club for a great weekend. Yeh it was cold and windy, but at least it wasn't snowing like it was back in Canada - as Ron already mentioned.

I had to assemble my twin after I arrived in Atlanta but I'm glad I at least got to have the run off for a chance to get in the shootout. Too bad the throttle arm fell off when it did.

Oh well, hopefully you'll let me come back next year to try again. It really was an awesome weekend.

Thanks

Olly
