What is the average CG placement on the sports 20 hydros??? measured from the trailing edge of the sponsons should it be around 15% on a hull of 30 to 32 inches in length. also the drive dog is positioned at the transon is this where it should be?

Thanks

Dave

how fast can a sports 20 go??? only one way to find out. Time for a challenge. Under 2 kilos and well balanced should do the trick. Plus a good pipe and a Nova or MAC 21. daves getting bored again :p

Hi Dave,

Low to mid 50's here in the States as far as speed goes,I would put the rudder

on the left side of the transom to help with the turning and prop torque. They

are starting to really catch on here in the States. Great class and they should

be a lot of fun and not very expensive to operate. Dave Frank's electric design

works really well with a few modifications. :D

Good Luck,

Mark Sholund

Balance point at 14 to 15 inches from the transom on a 30 inch boat should be good. We have been putting the rear of the struts in line with the transom so the drive dog is just behind the transom.
