Sealing boat hulls...

I have made this boat model of a cruiser, and I wanted to seal the hull with an epoxy of some sort. I am assuming that using an epoxy will stiffen the hull, is this correct? What kind of epoxy would you guys recommend?

West Systems epoxy.

Boat or hobby stores handle it.

The epoxy itself does not strenghten th e hul a lot , use some fiberglass mat with it, that will strenghten it a lot!
