Hey guys me again. Learning as I go. The Backlash got wet yesterday and showed promise but as always there were some issues that arose. One issue was destroying exhaust o rings pretty much every time out. I have the Gizmo Stainless Steel Hot Pipe and previously had some questions on the header, o ring placement etc. With the screws on the thing as tight as can be I could still see the o ring on the motor side (this is with the plate on which supposedly adapts Gizmos header for “QuickDraw” style pipes. I’m getting the feeling from looking around that even though the Orings are 7/8 size they are too big for this setup and there is actually a smaller diameter oring for QuickDraw style header. With this Gizmo Pipe set, is that what I have? A QuickDraw style header? I’m posting some pics of different pipes. The QuickDraw style all seem to be set up with spacers and springs like mine. Are the orings indeed smaller? Also in the pics is another Gizmo pipe that is not listed as a HOT PIPE. Can someone give me some differences between the pipes from a functional standpoint? I like how the pipe all fits together and seemed to run good but the o ring melting issue every run is a total pain.

when you install the o rings make sure you can blow through the water outlets, it sounds like you used the wrong o rings and they blocked off the water passages, not familar with the gizmo pipe but my quickdraw pipe uses small orange o rings that are a bear to change, if the o rings are not installed right on my header it blocks the water passage. as far as different pipes go everyone has there favorate, mine is the quickdraw #1 and the insane pipe #2. identical hulls, motors, props and one will like a different pipe than the other, strange but it happens. i guess like props you will have a collection of pipes

It seems you are using the wrong orings the ones on the. Right are not as thick.
