i have been in rc for a few yrs now,but have just got into boats. i bought a rtr proboat f hydro from sombody and he didint send a manual or nothing, im wanting to know what prop sizes i need to use to try and make the boat a little faster, right now it has the stock 1.34x2.06 on it......which props could i use, someone has told me a octura y535??? and another thing, how is the conversions done,ex: 1.34x2.06 to a y535.....if you can help i would greatly appreciate it,thanks

Cameron,

a Y535= last 2 digits is your diameter, so 35mm or 1.3779"

the first digit is the ratio which is 1.5, 1.5x1.3779=2.066" pitch

so if we round up the numbers (which pretty much all the charts do) we get 1.38" Dia x 2.07" pitch.

if it would have been a 440 prop than the Dia is 40mm and the ratio is 1.4

a 667 is 67mm Dia and the ratio is 1.6

here's a few chart to help you out.

I have had the best luck with the Grim Racer 36 x 55. I have the same boat and it has worked the best so far.
