What? no pics of Craig K's car wrapped in toilet paper, "will it blend", or me flipping you the bird?

Great photo's as usual Murph! Well done.

Murph, great pics mate. Who owns this boat, thought I was the only one that loved that paint scheme (Pit Stop). See my avatar and gallery. Hammer

Hello everybody .

Ray , that boat is owned by 1 of our local members - Graham Mason and it is several years old . I believe the hull is a Hoover Hydro and has been run with several different motors - Quickdraw 35 and others .

Thanks mate! Go Seaducer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't believe it when 2 minutes before the final I did a final radio check and the carby fell off. Lucky for me that Dave, Al and Dad gave me a hand to cable tie the carby on for the final. We made it to the start table just before the start and then after we started the boat Al noticed the water lines weren't connected so he got them on (with a bit of trouble) and we made it on the water with 10 seconds or so to go. Just when you think the weekend is perfect coming into the final, something always happens.

In the end, 3 wins from 3 starts in the rounds, quick time and winner of the final, I'm happy.

Al had a pretty good weekend too, thats the third year in a row he has won the Silver Cup. Might have to give a run for the fourth though, can't let him win it four times before me.

I was amazed at the finish rate for the 1/8 scale boats this year. The first two rounds had every boat finish...... but that Bud boat of Al's is just a jet. So quick in the turns. He had to work for the final win but earned it for sure.

Hello everybody .

It sounds like everybody had a good time at this years Winter Spectacular . I was unable to attend due to unforseen circumstances , but plan to be back at the boats in the near future . As Justin " Grub "Antoni says Al Ansell has now won the Silver Cup for the 1 / 8 Scale Boats 3 years in a row , Graham Mason won the Roger Newton Memorial Trophy for Concourse in 1 / 8 Scale and Bill ( Wild Bill ) Annabel won the Pete Purcell Trophy for X Hydro . Congratulations to all the competitors and winners for making this a great event .

Dave Bevern might have given him a run for his money if we didn't junk a bearing in the last heat before the final.
