Im sure this has been covered but ill ask anyway. Do I remove and plug the high speed needle on the carb? Or do you just open it all the way? This will be servo operated if that makes a difference.

Any input would help

David, you can take the needle out and cut off the tapered end - up to the threaded part. Then, take note that the needle has a rubber groumet on it. Screw it back in all the way. This will act as a plug. Test by blowing through the nipple to ensure the air flow is free.

Hope this helps.

If you are using the stock OS outboard carb (20J) the OS inflight needle will replace the main needle. Just unscrew the stock needle and screw in the inflight needle and rig it with a cable just like the throttle.

Rod Gerahty suggested to just back out the stock needle so it is no longer functional instead of cutting the taper off, this way your not wasting a stock needle.

That is what I do. Always like to leave my options open.

Mike

Would you recomend installing the remote needle as close to the carb so adjustments will react faster or does it not matter where the needle is placed? Also which side of the remote needle does the fuel line go,from tank too the carb sorry but i have never used one
