Buy the VI parts. Other than the head and muffler, the VI & VII are the same engine.Dang, now I see a V2 connecting rod is $50, V1 is $22...
I don't think I've ever broken a rod in any of my O.S. 21 OBs and I've probably been running them as long as anyone on this forum.the V2 rod is a 'better' rod...they are from the higher end car engines
My engines are all NAMBA stock. I've heard IMPBA Sport 20 Tunnel engines turning a whole lot more Rs than my "Stocker." More Rs = more stress on the rod.Jerry
Your not turning any RPM'S if you haven't broken a rod.

The V1 crank has a lube feed hole on the crank pin leading to the inside of the crank shaft.. The V2 does not.
