ops .80 needle settings?

i was just wondering what you set your needles at i cant get mine to keep running it idles and as soon as i hit the gas it revs up and then when it idles back down it just dies. any help is appreciated

2 1/2 turns is good for start with your needle.Make sure there is not an airleakage in your fuel system.Once you have a good idle work the low end needle till get reliable revs.Sounds your set up is lean!

Gil, I think you hit it on the nose, air leak. Ran OPS 80, paper gaskets blow cause case flexes so much when hot. Ray

do they make better gaskets for them and any setting on the low speed?

Loctite produces a liquid gasket that works better than originals.

wont the locktite be rediculous to get the engine apart and wont the heat reactivate it?

I use lock-tite gasket maker for all my engines for years with no problems.
