Sitting here watching the news of the shootings today at Virginia Tech makes me feel sick to my stomach. I have a daughter a few years away from college age and can only imagine the pain the families of the victims and extended Va Tech family are feeling. I have a cousin whose son and daughter were at Columbine when that occurred. Thankfully they were fine but a neighbor of theirs was not.

Hug your kids tonight a little tighter. And pray for those that just lost that priviledge....

Amen to that Brother, Often wonder how soceity has come to this type of destruction, and now on a regular basis. Show affection and love to all your family and freinds everyday, make them smile one way or the other, always cherish they're presense ,you never know when this type of senseless disruption may occur. Bless the familys and souls of these innocent lives.

Deepest regret for the loss of lives

My deepest thoughts and prayers to the families... really made me hug my family last night.... :(

This is a Huge tragedy. Both my wife and I are both alumnus of VT. I worked there for a little over a year and my wife worked in the English department for almost 4 years…… back in the early 90’s. Needless to say, we know lots of folks there, even though we live at the other end of the state now. Were finding that we don't know anyone that was murdered there, but we know people who knew some of the victims. Tech Alumni are large close-knit group…with that said this tragedy hits very close to home for many many many people we know. It could have happened anywhere, but unfortunately it was here. :(

I'm glad to see that the press is no longer trying to blame the University for this tragedy in stead of this despicable psychopath that did this.

I mentioned in the Toledo thread about a young woman (to me) who was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the way to the Toledo show on Saturday. Come to find out, a cousin and good friend were two fo the victims at V Tech.
