Good Morning!

Here are 2 questions for all you boaters running an outboard Novarossi.

1. What is the thread size on the crank?

2. What are using for a flywheel/starting cone. I'm looking for something off the shelf from the LHS if possible.

Later!

Ed,

The thread size should be 1/4-28.

I would start by just running the I/B flywheel.

Hi,

You can use a K&B 3.5 OB flywheel ( a part you can get easily). Nova and K&B have same shaft size and thread. Can't remember how close it comes to carby or if I trimmed it, will have to have a look.

To use a novarossi on a O/B you need to change the crankshaft.

The best bet would be to contact precisionboatsracing.com - they can supply everything you need.

Hi Ed,

I build the cranks an pto's for the Nova Rossi outboards. 1/4-28 is correct. I also build a after market starter cone for them .21 Nova outboard motors no groove like the inboard. ;D

Tim!

I got my motor from you about a week ago. I forgot all about a starting cone. I'll take one! I'll send you email from home tonight.

Later!
