Needle bearing length.

I'm trying to put together a couple of MAC 67's to sell for a buddy that has gotten too sick to race anymore. One of the MAC's had no needle bearings. I had some CMB's that are the same diameter, but are four thousands longer than the MAC pieces. Will this cause any clearance issues? No guesses please. I don't want to sell these as functioning motors and have them blow up on whomever I sell them to.

Hi Mike

My Mac 45 only has .005" clearance. My needles are only .005 shorter than the width of the rod. I would be very careful not to set it up too tight.

I will probably end up grinding off 5-7 thousands from the CMB needle bearings and touching them up with the flexible sanding disc on my Dremel.
